Christopher John Dodson (Shown right)

Partner practising mainly in, wills, probate, conveyancing, both residential and commercial.

Career
Christopher was educated at Rugby School and Trinity Hall, Cambridge.

After the College of Law in Guildford he was articled with Bevan Hancock & Co (now Bevan Ashford) in Bristol. From 1973 to 1975 he was with Addleshaw, Sons and Latham (now Addleshaw Booth & Co) in Manchester becoming a partner in 1974. In 1976 he joined Turner & Newall Ltd (later to become T & N plc) as a solicitor becoming Company Secretary from 1980 to 1994. From 1994 to 2000 he was with Roberts Buckley, solicitors, in Manchester. In July 2000 he joined Wains as a partner.

Personal
Born in 1944 Christopher is married with two sons. He lives in Wilmslow. His leisure interests include politics and golf. He is a member of Macclesfield Rotary Club.


Brian Charles Hazzard Payne

Retired October 2004 as a Consultant and former partner of the practice. 

Career
Attended Kingswood School, Bath.

Brian was admitted as a solicitor in 1957 and after two years’ national service in the Royal Air Force followed by three as an assistant solicitor with a firm in Manchester, moved to Macclesfield in 1962. He was a partner at Langstaff & Payne from 1964 – 1973, when the company merged with May & Wain to practise as Wain, Langstaff, Payne and Goalen, the name of which changed to Wains in 1994. He is a past president of the Macclesfield Law Society and was its secretary for nineteen years.

Personal
Married with three children and three grandchildren, Brian resides in Macclesfield. He is a member of Macclesfield Methodist Church, a member and past president of the Rotary Club of Macclesfield and a founder trustee of the Rossendale Trust.

His interests include walking, theatre, art and golf (when time permits!).


Sally Mullis

Assistant solicitor with experience in all areas of civil litigation and dealing in particular with family law and personal injury claims. She is a member of the Association of Women Solicitors and also has experience in consumer law, landlord and tenant disputes.

Career
She studied law at Reading University and qualified as a solicitor in 1984, starting with Wains in 1990.

Personal
Sally resides in Congleton. She is a governor of the local primary school in Congleton and enjoys keep fit and walking.
